The Opportunity:
The Senior Worker (Crisis Accommodation) will work as part of the Samaritans Youth Homelessness Support Services and will be responsible for the provision of site management within Samaritans Youth Crisis Accommodation.
The SHS sector is a vital part of the broader service system that is working towards ending homelessness. SHS service providers support people who are experiencing, or who are at risk of homelessness, through early intervention, crisis and transitional support; and post crisis support services. The program’s primary objective is to ensure people who are experiencing homelessness, or who are at risk of homelessness, are supported to achieve safe and stable housing in the community.
Samaritans Homelessness Services (SHS) to provide an extensive range of support to disadvantaged young people with an emphasis on those at risk of homelessness or who are homeless. Core services include residential support, outreach, early intervention and activities, employment, family, and group work, working with schools and information and referral.
The Samaritans Youth Crisis Accommodation is a short-term service for young people who are homeless or at risk of being homeless. The service provides assessment, short-term casework and transitional support through the provision of information, referral advocacy and case management
